Path of Exile 2: New Build for Leveling Stormweaver with Spark

Today we’re going to share a build of Spark Stormweaver by Asmodeus. You’ll learn how to make the best building choice of Stormweaver with Spark when leveling, including a lot of possible gem and passive setups.

Why choose Spark?

Spark offers fantastic map clear and safe boss damage from a distance. Paired with Archmage Buff, it scales beautifully with the base amount of projectiles and projectile speed.

Gearing

While leveling, prioritize damage on weapons and defenses elsewhere. Use a staff, wand + focus or wand + shield. Remember to check the vendors after leveling up, because they will restock their items every time you level up. Don’t save your currency but trying to buy and craft as much gear as you can, because better gear will speed you up and allow you to earn more currency at a faster rate.

Skill Gems

Initial Setup [Leveling Stage 1]

Spark + Arcane Tempo + Pierce (swap Pierce for Branching Bolts later).

Flame Wall + permanent Arcane Surge (grant from Constant Gale after finishing first trail), then get Raging Spirits to enhance the damage of Flame Wall (only good in the early game)

Orb of Storms + Controlled Destruction + Execute

Mid Acts Setup [Leveling Stage 2]

Add Rising Tempest to Spark once you get a Jeweller’ s Orb.

Orb of Storms + Considered Casting (doesn’t hurt trigger rate).

Mana Tempest + Premeditation/Inspiration: stand in it to melt bosses (if your gear is good enough in damage, feel free of your mana).

In Act 3, swap Raging Spirits for Blasphemy + Conductivity. Less effective than self-cast, but saves button presses.

Late Acts Setup [Leveling Stage 3]

Drop Pierce from Spark (unless chain feels weak) and add Acceleration/damage supports.

Orb of Storms + Lightning Exposure + Strip Away to apply exposure during boss fights.

In act 6, swap Blasphemy and activate Archmage Buff.

Leveling Stage 1 and 2

Stage 1-2: Focus on Increased Damage early, then shift to Pure Power&Arcane Intensity. Path left for All Natural first, then Branching Bolts.

Stage 3: Focus on Adverse Growth + Midnight Braid belt around the last act. Grab Mind Over Matter + Eldritch Battery keystones. Invest in more mana regeneration from damage or add Everlasting Gaze if mana issues arise. Chaos Inoculation is ideal once you hit 3k+ mana + 1k ES, otherwise get some gear with chaos resistance and work on getting more amount of mana.

Attribute Priorities

Take enough Dexterity and Strength to equip your gems and items. Dump the rest into Intelligence.

How it Plays

General Playstyle

While leveling in the early acts, position Flame Wall at where all your projectiles could pass through it before hitting enemies, then cast Spark. Drop Orb of Storms and Mana Tempest for extra damage against tough packs, rare enemies, or bosses.

Against Trash Mobs

Maintain constant movement: kite enemies while casting spells to chip away at them. Prioritize forward momentum—this saves time, though tight corridors may limit kiting. If possible, cast while running to avoid getting swarmed.

Boss Strategy

1. Pre-setup: Place Flame Wall, Orb of Storms, and Mana Tempest in front of the bosses and curse them with Conductivity.

2. Burst: Spam Spark while chugging Mana Flask until the boss dies or your mana drains.

Adapt

Learn your survivability limits—distinguish the attacks that you can tank or you should dodge. During this study period, you may die for several times, but eventually you’ ll learn how to balance your damage and survival, and then you can make maximum damage.
