Shipments

Each boat you send out carries a shipment of resources. Upon the boat’s successful return, these resources are exchanged for regular PoE rewards like path of exile currency, uniques, scarabs, and more. Upgrading your Harbour allows you send up to three boats on shipments simultaneously.

 

 

Shipment Value

The rewards you receive depend on the total Shipment Value. Rarer and more refined resources have higher Shipment Values.

 

 

Dust Multipliers

Thaumaturgic Dust acts as a multiplier for your Shipment Value. Including Dust in every shipment can significantly boost your rewards with fewer resources.

 

 

Ports & Rewards

Each shipment goes to a specific port, which returns different types of rewards based on the resources shipped. You will unlock more ports as you level up your Harbour.

 

 

Rewards Based on Resources

Different resources yield specific types of rewards:

 

Crimson Iron: STR Armor, Armor, INT Armor, DEX Armor

Orichalcum: STR Weapons, Weapons, INT Weapons, DEX Weapons

Petrified Amber: Belts, Rings, Amulets, Jewelry with Quality

Bismuth: Support Gems with Quality, Skill Gems with Quality, Flasks & Tinctures, Jewels, Ward Armor

Verisium: Stacked Decks, Scarabs, Catalysts, Fossils, Contracts, Oil, Uniques, Splinters

 

All resources reward currency, with amounts and qualities based on shipment value. Kalguuran Ports (Riben Fell, Pondium, Kalguur) can also give Runes, while Karui Ports (Ngakanu, Te Onui) can give Tattoos.

 

 

Distance and Shipping Time

The distance of each port from Kingsmarch determines the shipping time. It seems that longer distances generally yield better rewards.

 

 

Port Quotas

Each port has a list of in-demand resources. Meeting these quotas gives a shipment value bonus, resulting in more rewards. Quotas can be fulfilled over multiple shipments, but only the shipment that completes the quota receives the bonus.

 

 

Crew

Crew members reduce the Risk meter based on their trait tier. Higher-tier workers allow higher Shipment Values with little to no risk. Be cautious, as crew members lost to risks can be permanently killed.

 

 

Risks & Random Events

Bad events like pirate raids and bad weather can happen during shipments. As Shipment Value increases, the Risk meter fills, indicating a higher chance of something going wrong. Possible risk outcomes include losing 25% to 75% of rewards. Random events may also cause you to lose a worker or have your ship commandeered by pirates.

 

 

Pirate Commandeering

When pirates board your ship, you have three options:

 

1. Fight the Bandit: Defeat the pirate boss to save your crew and shipment. You only get one chance, so losing means losing everything.

2. Pay the Ransom: Pay gold to get your crew and shipment back without the boss loot.

3. Abandon: Lose your crew and shipment if you choose not to fight or pay.

 

 

Maximizing Returns

To maximize returns, manage your risks effectively, meet port quotas, and utilize Dust multipliers. Carefully choose your crew and ports to optimize Shipment Value and rewards.
