How to Level the Burning Crusade Herbalism

Since most players are playing the current expansion, the Outland area shouldn't be very busy, and you'll find yourself leveling up quickly in this section, depending on your server population. Head to Hellfire Peninsula with a minimum skill of 275 and you'll be able to learn your new Herbology level from your faction trainer.

Horde players will need to talk to Ruak Stronghorn at Thrallmar.

How to Balance the Wrath Lich King's  Herbalism

WotLK has added a new spell for herbalists in the form of Lifeblood. Good healing for 5 seconds, this spell makes Herbalism a very attractive option as it now has in-battle benefits. Once you reach level 350, you can continue to level 25 in Outland, but it is recommended that you venture into Northrend as the herbs will be more valuable.

You can usually make a decent profit, especially if you can use a profession like alchemy to turn your herbs into important consumables, and remember to keep crafting reagents you come across, such as crystal water. Many WotLK areas are good for collecting herbs, you may need to switch depending on what you are currently trying to grow.
