The Precision Hunter in Wrath of the Lich King Classic is a sniper who uses a ranged weapon to damage his enemies with a powerful shot. It is one of the 31 professions in the WotLK Classic. This is his guide to Patch 3.4.0 Class, also known as "Phase 1".

Very effective in both PvE and PvP

Has a pet to help him fight

WotLK Classic Precision Hunter Talents and Glyphs

Precision Hunter Core Rotation and Skills

Basic rotation

Always keep the dragon eagle guard

Make Hunter's Mark always active on the target

Always keep Serpent's Bite active on the target

Transfer to sweaters, and as soon as possible on active vests

Rapid fire as soon as possible (coordinated with Call of the Beast, Kill Order and Furious Howl)

Summon the Beast ASAP (works with Rapid Fire, Kill Order, and Furious Howl)

Order to kill ASAP (in coordination with Howl of Angry, Call of the Wild and Rapid Fire if possible, if their cooldowns are close)

Rage ASAP (in coordination with kill orders, call of beasts and rapid fire if possible, if their cooldown is approaching)

As soon as all your main techs are on cooldown, the burst phase starts again

If the target is below 20% health, critically strike as soon as possible

Shoot the Chimera ASAP

Best Pets for WotLK Classic Precision Hunter

What makes the hunter special is the ability to tame pets with many different appearances and techniques. However, we'll only focus on the most powerful of them all: wolves and pests.

Specifically, wolves actually provide shooters with the most interesting rewards through their angry howls, which they can even combine with the call of the wild. If their pure DPS isn't necessarily the best, these bonuses allow the hunter to deal a lot of damage during the burst phase, giving him a decent bonus to his DPS:

Own a wolf with Furious Howl

Place the talents of the wolf so that it obtains Call of the wild in the Ferocity branch

Which race should I enter for my Precision Hunter?

Alliance

Dwarf

The dwarf's stone form makes him a very good choice in PvP, as well as frost resistance in certain situations in PvE. But other than that, he's the only race that grants you firearms specialization, which will be trivial if you decide to use a rifle instead of a bow or crossbow.

Draenei

The Draenei are essential, thanks to their heroic presence. Whatever the composition of the team you find yourself on, it's a great asset!

Horde

Orc

The Orc's power is unmatched in PvE and PVP, thanks to its bloodthirsty furious race, and vital command among hunters. There is no race that can match it in PvE. Finally, its sturdiness gives it a distinct advantage over other races in PvP.

Troll

As a Hunter, Berserker is very powerful, but what sets Troll apart is his Arc Specialization, which is the only clear advantage he offers as a Hunter. Special mention of the Beast Slayer race is useful in leveling or farming.
