Sanctuary calls once more, adventurer. The Burning Hells are relentless, and their demonic hordes will soon face your wrath again. Ladder Season 8 of Diablo II: Resurrected is just around the corner, offering a fresh chance to carve your name into the Leaderboard, gather powerful D2R items, and prove your worth.

 

 

Patch 2.7.4: Polishing the Experience

Before the season kicks off, Ladder Season 8 of Diablo II: Resurrected will launch on August 23, bringing a host of bug fixes and gameplay improvements. Notable changes include fixes to the Assassin's Blade Fury and Dragon Tail skills, which now function more reliably. The Act III Mercenary will no longer waste time targeting Ravens with Enchant, allowing you to focus on the real threats. Other improvements will enhance your gameplay experience, ensuring that your hunt for rare D2R runes and other treasures is smoother than ever. The developers are also refining the player reporting system to better address issues within the community.

 

Ladder Season 8: Your Path to Glory

The main event begins on August 23 in North America, with Europe and Asia following shortly after. Ladder Season 8 is your chance to embark on a new journey, racing to Level 99, amassing valuable D2R items and runes, and gathering powerful loot along the way.

 

As with previous seasons, Ladder Season 8 will feature different modes:

Pre-Expansion Ladder: The classic experience with the original four acts, where you can hunt down D2R items in their purest form.

Pre-Expansion Hardcore Ladder: The one-life version of the original four acts for those who seek an even greater challenge, testing your skills in securing the rarest D2R runes and items.

Ladder: The full game experience with all five acts, including the "Lord of Destruction" expansion, offering the chance to acquire the most coveted D2R items.

Hardcore Ladder: The one-life version of the full five acts for the most fearless adventurers, where every D2R rune and item could be your last.

 

What Happens to Your Loot?

As Ladder Season 7 ends, your Ladder characters will be transferred to the non-ladder group. Items in your Shared Stash, including precious D2R items and runes, will be moved to a "Withdraw Only" set of tabs. But beware, when Ladder Season 8 ends, these tabs will be overwritten with items from Season 7. Be sure to withdraw any prized possessions before they're lost forever—every D2R rune and item you've fought for is worth saving.
