Miquella's Haligtree is an optional Legacy Dungeon located in the secret northern area of Elden Ring. This massive tree is filled with powerful enemies and valuable treasures, designed for late-game players. Here's how to reach the Haligtree, explore its depths, and conquer its challenges.

 

 

How to Get to Miquella's Haligtree?

First, you need to access the Miquella's Haligtree region. This requires obtaining both halves of the Haligtree Secret Medallion and using it at the Grand Lift of Rold. Once you've got both halves, head to the Grand Lift and use the medallion to be transported to the Hidden Path to the Haligtree dungeon.

 

Navigate through the Hidden Path to emerge in the Consecrated Snowfield. This area is tricky to navigate due to the snowstorm, but you can follow the glowing spots on the ground or ride directly north to find your way out. Once clear, head north to find the area map. Continue north to reach Ordina, Liturgical Town.

 

Here, you'll need to activate the Site of Grace before tackling the trial. In the town, you'll find four altars—one at ground level and three on rooftops. Locate all the altars and note the blue flame lanterns marking ladder spots. Go to the northwest side of town, find the evergaol with a statue next to it, and examine the statue to receive the hint: "Light the four figures in the evergaol."

 

Entering the evergaol will transport you to an alternate version of Ordina, where you must light the four altars without dying. Firstly, light up the altar on the periphery to avoid invisible Black Blade assassins who will keep chasing you, but as long as you keep running, they will not be able to approach you. The Sentry Torch from the Hermit Merchant in the Capital Outskirts can help you see these assassins.

 

Light the first altar, then drop down to the buildings below and head for the next ladder. Climb it to light the second altar. Watch out for rooftop archers; kill them if they're in your way. Light the third altar on the rooftops, then drop down to street level and light the final altar. This will lift the magic barrier blocking the staircase at the back of the town, leading you to the teleporter that takes you to the Haligtree.

 

 

Exploring Miquella's Haligtree

Activate and rest at the Haligtree Canopy Site of Grace. Head up the right branch to find a Stonesword Key. Drop down to another branch with envoys, kill them, and collect the Sacramental Bud. Follow this branch to encounter more envoys—kill them and proceed.

 

At the end of this branch, drop down to battle a large envoy and grab the Golden Rune. Head back up and drop down to another branch with three envoys. Kill them and loot the Prattling Pate from nearby mushrooms.

 

Follow the branch down to the largest central branch and collect the Warming Stone x4. Proceed up the middle branch, where you'll encounter giant ants. Defeat them and continue to a split path. Take the left branch first to deal with annoying envoys shooting at you. Grab the Aeonian Butterfly and proceed to the thicker branch at the top to kill more envoys and collect Preserving Boluses.

 

Next, deal with plant enemies on the other side of the branch. Use Fire Pots to stun the large plant and collect Fire Grease x3. Backtrack to the split path and take the right branch. Kill the envoys, grab the Smithing Stone, and head back to the split path.

 

Go up the middle branch to sneak up on a giant envoy. Defeat it and loot the Envoy Crown. Return to the large branch with Warming Stone, and this time, drop off to a smaller branch to avoid a giant envoy's attacks. Run along this branch, dodge the envoy's projectiles, and kill it at the end. Collect the Lost Ash of War from the altar behind it.

 

Backtrack and take the path leading higher to a group of envoys. Defeat them to claim the Oracle Envoy Ashes. Continue along the branch to find a Golden Rune more Elden Ring runes. Return to the main branch we avoided earlier and loot it without being harassed. Collect a Numens Rune and Flaming Bolt x10.

 

Finally, reach the bottom of the main branch to find a platform with a ladder. Climb down to the shack below and activate the Haligtree Town Site of Grace.
