D2 Resurrected Patch 2.4 PTR - New Runewords Guide

Yesterday, MMOSO introduced the focus content of Diablo 2: Resurrected Patch 2.4 in this upcoming public test server update, mainly including New Class Balance Changes, New Runewords, New Horadric Cube Recipes, Mercenary changes, Set Item Bonus Changes, New Level Area changes, and so on. The three parts that attract more attention are New Class Balance, New Runewords, and Mercenaries. Today, MMOSO will provide a detailed introduction to several new Runewords added in this update.

Diablo 2 Resurrection Patch 2.4 New Runewords Guide

1. Wisdom Runewords

Wisdom's substrate requires a 3-socketed white/grey quality Helm. The rune order is Pul + Ith + Eld.

Its properties are as follows:

+33% Piercing Attack

+15-25% Bonus to Attack Rating (varies)

4-8% Mana Stolen Per Hit (varies)

+30% Enhanced Defense

+10 Energy

15% Slower Stamina Drain

Cannot Be Frozen

+5 Mana After Each Kill

15% Damage Taken Goes to Mana

With the Piercing Attack but no Damage Bonus, although it has the     Cannot Be Froze attribute, it is difficult to bring a lot of improvement to long-range physical characters or mercenaries. However, the early Piercing, Cannot Be Frozen, and Mana After Each Kill is quite good for Javazon to fight the Cow field in the early stage.

2. Flickering Flame Runewords

The Flickering Flame substrate requirement is a 3-socketed white/grey quality Helm. The rune order is Nef + Pul + Vex

Its properties are as follows:

Level 4-8 Resist Fire Aura When Equipped (varies)

+3 To Fire Skills

-10-15% to Enemy Fire Resistance (varies)

+30% Enhanced Defense

+30 Defense Vs. Missile

+50-75 To Mana (varies)

Half Freeze Duration

+5% To Maximum Fire Resist

Poison Length Reduced by 50%

The highlight of Flickering Flame is that it can reduce the Enemy Fire Resistance by up to 15%. For most elemental output-based gameplay, passive reduction of resistance brings a great improvement.

3. Mist Runewords

The Mist substrate required is a 5-socketed white/grey quality Bow/Crossbow. The order of runes is: Cham + Shael + Gul + Thul + Ith

Its properties are as follows:

Level 8-12 Concentration Aura When Equipped (varies)

+3 To All Skills

20% Increased Attack Speed

+100% Piercing Attack

+325-375% Enhanced Damage (varies)

+9 To Maximum Damage

20% Bonus to Attack Rating

Adds 3-14 Cold Damage

Freeze Target +3

+24 Vitality

All Resistances +40

The highlight of this rune word is that it can give equippers a Concentration Aura. The value of the 32# rune is finally raised, the character equipment "Faith" with the first act mercenary "Mist" 3MM gameplay is very good.
