1-1 Orb of Chance

 

Upgrades a normal item to a magic, rare or unique item randomly. (a PoE currency for enhancing items)

Literally, it can upgrade a normal item to a blue equipment (magic item), golden equipment (rare item), or league-specific equipment (unique item that cannot be obtained by normal means).

The new item obtained will retain the same base type as the original item. For example, the dark golden equipment of the "Starforge" unique item is obtained in this way.

Unique items like "Headhunter" can drop in the world and are available through Orb of Chance. The dark golden equipment obtained in this way ignores the minimum item level limit.

That means it can be upgraded regardless of its original base.

It should be noted that only "normal" items can be upgraded, which is often used with the "Orb of Scouring" to repeatedly upgrade normal items to obtain dark golden equipment.

 

NOTE: The upgraded dark golden equipment will have the same base type as the original equipment. For example, only a leather belt can be upgraded to a dark golden leather belt. After being upgraded, the appearance of the original equipment will change.

For example, only "Cospri's Malice" can be upgraded to a dark golden "Cospri's Malice" with "Orb of Chance".

It can be combined with the prophecy "The Phoenix" to obtain a guaranteed unique item (the prophecy system has been removed).

 

 

1-2 Orb of Transmutation

 

Upgrades a normal item to a magic item. (a PoE currency for enhancing items)

It may have one or two properties (a magic item can have at most one prefix and one suffix).

 

1-3 Orb of Alteration

Resets all the properties of a magic item.(a PoE currency for re-rolling mods)

It may have one or two properties (a magic item can have at most one prefix and one suffix).

 

 

1-4 Orb of Alchemy

 

 

Upgrades a magic item to a rare item.(a PoE currency for enhancing items)

 

It will randomly add one prefix or one suffix (i.e., it becomes a rare item with three affixes; a rare item can have up to three prefixes and three suffixes).

 

Vendor recipe: Selling a whole set of unidentified equipment of level 75 or above to a shop can obtain two Orbs of Alchemy.

1-5 Regal Orb

Upgrades a normal item to a rare item.(a PoE currency for enhancing items)

It will have 3-6 affixes randomly (a rare item can have up to three prefixes and three suffixes).

 

1-6 Exalted Orb

Adds a new random affix to a rare item.(a PoE currency for enhancing mods)

There is a small chance that the new affix will be a “Influence” affix.

Commonly called "Exalt" or "Big Face," it adds a new affix to a rare equipment.

 

1-7 Chaos Orb

Randomizes the properties of a rare item.(a PoE currency for re-rolling mods)

Commonly called "Chaos" or "Small Face," it will randomly add 3-6 affixes (a rare item can have up to three prefixes and three suffixes).

 

1-8 Eldritch Chaos orb

Randomizes the properties of a rare item with new encrypted affixes. (a PoE currency for re-roll mods)

However, the property at the bottom covered by strange font is the new affix obtained by Vaal Orb.

NOTE: Equipment with hidden affixes (prefix "Corrupted" and suffix "of Enchantment") cannot use Vaal Orb, except when the affix will be overwritten after using Vaal Orb. Also, such equipment cannot use XIAO AI.

The attribute at the bottom covered by strange font is a new affix obtained by using an encrypted chaos orb.

 

NOTE: Equipment with hidden affixes [prefix (The Chosen) suffix (Lockpick)] cannot use Eldritch Chaos Orb, nor can it be enhanced by Aisling Laffrey.

 

1-9 Orb of Scouring

Randomly remove one property from the item, which means deleting an affix. (a PoE currency for removing mods)

 

1-10 Divine Orb

Reset the value of a random affix on an item. (a PoE currency for re-roll mods)

Press and hold ALT on the equipment to view the range of affixes. The Divine Orb is used to wash the prefix/suffix values.

 

2-2 Jeweller's Orb

Reset the number of slots on an item. (a PoE currency for reset the slots)

 

2-3 Orb of Fusing

Reset the connection between slots on an item. (a PoE currency for reset the connection)

 

2-4 Chromatic Orb

Reset the color of slots on an item. (a PoE currency for reset the color)

 

2-6 Orb of Augmentation

 

Add an enchantment to non-recovery type potions, strengthen their effectiveness, but cannot gain charges during the potion's effect period.

Cannot be used for health or mana potions. Usually used to wash and enhance effects.

For example, Dying-Sun, which originally had +2 arrows, can become +3 arrows by using an Orb of Augmentation to enhance its effect. (a PoE currency for enhancing items)

 

2-7 Orb of Instilling

 

Add an enchantment to non-recovery type potions, which will automatically take effect under certain conditions and replace any existing enchantments.

 

2-8 Ancient Orb

 

Recast a legendary item into another legendary item in the same slot.  (a PoE currency for recast items)

You can refer to a mechanism of Ancient Orb written by a mushroom expert. It will not be discussed further here.

 

2-9 Orb of Binding

Upgrade a normal item to a rare item, reset the number of slots to a maximum of four, and connect them all. (a PoE currency for enhancing items)

 

3-2 Sacred Orb

Randomize the defensive properties of an item based on its base defense.(a PoE currency for re-rolling properties)

This is used for washing the base, and is currently useless.

 

3-3 Blessed Orb

Reset the value of a fixed attribute on an item. (a PoE currency for resetting mods)

Similar to Divine Orb, but used to re-roll base attributes.

 

3-5 Vaal Orb

 

Corrupt an item and randomly modify its properties. (a unique PoE currency for re-rolling mods)

1. Add one corrupt affix (squeeze out the base affix/memory affix).

2. Become a new corrupted rare equipment (Vaal).

3. White socket appears (a socket that can be inserted with any color of skill gem).

4. The equipment becomes corrupted (no change).

NOTE: Corrupted equipment cannot be operated on using all currencies under this entry.

 

4-5 Orb of Regret

Remove all properties from an item and turn it back into a normal item. (a PoE currency for defaulting items)

It turns white, unable to be upgraded into a legendary item.
NOTE: it will be affected by Master Artisan. For example, suffix enchantments cannot be changed by Orb of Regret, and the item will become a rare item with a suffix instead of a normal item.
